THE UHURU ACADEMY SUMMER ACADEMY
Session I: 6/26/2017-7/07/2017: In this session, we focus on our history as a people and the Afrikan contribution to civilization. We will engage in Afrikan centered arts and crafts, music, and more! Students will also learn typing skills and basic coding in our computer lab! We will also have surprise guests, prizes, games, a field trip (The Lenora Rola Museum), and more!
Session II: 7/17/2017-7/28/2017: In this session, we will review what we learned in Session I, then put our premium focus on teaching our babies the principles of entrepreneurship and the importance of ownership. In this session we will do an app development S.T.E.M. project, a small beautification project at our location, and take a field trip through the community observing and recording the amount of vacant property with Real Estate expert James "Wuda" Thomas!
Session III: 8/07/2017- 8/18/2017: In this session, we will review the history we learned in Sessions I & II, then put our premium focus on teaching our children the importance of vision development, setting goals, and effective planning. In this session we will work on a multi media project (short documentary about the summer academy). We will also take a field trip to the Science Discovery Museum!

THE UHURU ACADEMY PRESENTS MELANIN MONDAYS @ THE SKYY ULTRA LOUNGE
